Mark has lived in Port Colborne most of his life.  After apprenticing with the Washington and Johnston Funeral Home in Toronto, he received his Funeral Directors License, graduating from Humber College Funeral Education Course in 1981. He worked at Davidson Funeral Homes since 1981 until he purchased the business from his step-father Allan Davidson in 1989. Mark was a charter member and past president of the Port Colborne Jaycees, a member of the First Presbyterian Church where he had served as an elder, trustee and a member of the Board of Managers.  He served as a member of the Port Colborne General Hospital Foundation as well as serving a 3 year term on the Port Colborne General Hospital Board.  He is a member of the Port Colborne Lions Club, the Ontario Funeral Service Association and the Niagara District Funeral Association. Mark is married to Ginette, a teacher with École élémentaire catholique Saint-Joseph, and has four boys, Matthew (Alexandra), Jordan (Meaghan), Michael and Jonathan. Most recently, he has welcomed his first grandchild, a beautiful granddaughter, Makenna Melissa, into his family.

Joe was born and raised in Port Colborne.  He joined Davidson Funeral Home in 1995 as a co-operative education student with Lakeshore Catholic High School.  After finishing the Funeral Service Education Program, he served his apprenticeship with Davidson Funeral Home and received his Funeral Director’s Licence in 1999.  Joe lives in Port Colborne with his wife Carol and son Cole.

Natalie is a licensed funeral director and celebrant, completing her board exams in 2003 with honours. She joined Davidson Funeral Home in 2012 as a Celebrant, and most recently in the capacity of a funeral director upon returning to work after taking time off to start her family. Holding a strong interest in community involvement, she has held the positions of Instructors Chair, Community Services Chair, and Medical First Responder with St. John Ambulance.  Certified in Death, Dying and Bereavement studies, she was a member of the Red Cross End of Life Palliative care team, Vice President of Niagara District Funeral Service Association and held a position as a director with Niagara Safety Village.  She is an active volunteer with The United Way, Community Living, a leader with Girl Guides of Canada, and is currently assisting in the development of a Provincial palliative care program for Personal Support Workers with Home Hospice Association. In 2009 she was a proud recipient of a Canadian National Order in the Canadian Honour System in humanitarianism. She and her husband Trevor have two beautiful daughters, Serena and Rachel.

Originally from Northern Ontario, Julie moved to Port Colborne in 2003.  After graduating from high school Julie attended and graduated from Nipissing University with her B.A in Psychology.  She then went on to study Funeral Service Education at Humber College, graduated and received her Funeral Directors Licence in 1995.  After teaching the Funeral Service Education program, and working as licenced director, she is responsible for our Family Care Program.  Julie’s passion for funeral services, along with her love of animals paved the way to her new business, Pets at Peace, where she can also provide peace of mind to pet owners in their time of loss. When not working, Julie enjoys spending time with her husband Luc, their daughter Morgan and her dog Emma.

Barb has been providing administrative services to Davidson Funeral Home since September 1997. A life-long resident of Port Colborne, she graduated from Niagara College majoring in Financial Management. Barb and her husband Ron have been married for over 30 years, and she is the proud mom of three married children and the doting grandma to 3 adorable grandchildren, Danica, Keeghan and Stella.

Trinity White, High School Co-operative Education Student

Trinity is a Co-operative Education student with Davidson Funeral Home, currently attending École secondaire catholique Jean-Vanier in Welland, previously graduating from École élémentaire catholique Saint-Joseph, here in Port Colborne. An honours student, Trinity holds a strong interest in science and language studies.  She looks forward to taking her academic passion and interpersonal skills into Post Secondary funeral studies, with the hope of becoming a licenced funeral director. In her personal time, Trinity is a competitive dancer with Dance Expressions Inc., completing exams in tap, ballet, jazz, lyrical, contemporary and musical theatre dance. She also enjoys spending time with her family and friends.
