Bill’s at the post and he’s off. Surrounded by his loving family, Bill passed away after a brief battle with cancer. Loving husband to Susie of 57 years. Biggest cheerleader and fan of Dave and Claudette Napper (Stephanie, Brendan and Madison), Dan and Cheryl Napper (Alexandra and Jeremy) and Debby and Bill Steele (Mitch, Mack and Riley). Grandpa Zeke was also adored by his great grandchildren Kalan, Nevaeh and Arianna.
Survived by his brother Dave Napper and sisters Marilyn Young and Beth Babyk. Predeceased by his parents Bill and Daisy Napper, brother-in-law Bob Babyk and sister-in-law Shirley Napper.
Bill worked for Imperial Bank of Canada from 1953-1960 where he met Susie. He left the bank for R.E. Law Crushed Stone becoming General Manager. In 1975 he left Laws and formed Napper Construction.
Bill’s passions in life, aside from his family, were horse racing, playing basketball, hunting, fishing and sports. He was a star player for St. David’s Welland Church league basketball, long-time owner of many “just beat by a nose” race horses, Coach of Men’s Intermediate A Fastball (Manfred’s Texaco), star of Cogeco’s Inside the Locker Room with his special friend Reg Redshaw and huge fan of The Cleveland Indians, Buffalo Bills and the Buffalo Sabres.

Cremation has taken place. Family and friends will be received at Davidson Funeral Home, 135 Clarence Street, Port Colborne on Friday May 19 from 6 – 9 p.m. Celebration of Life to take place at All Saint’s Anglican Church, Forks Rd., Dain City on Saturday May 20, 2017 at 11 a.m.
