Passed away peacefully at the Welland County General Hospital on Friday August 25, 2017 at the age of 75 years. Beloved husband of his loving wife Ann for over 48 years. Proud father of Kevin (Stacy) and Dave (Shana). Adored grandfather of Brandon, Travis and Cale. He will be fondly remembered by his sister Barb (Jim) Ballin, and many nieces, nephews, brothers and sisters-in-law. Gary was predeceased by his parents Walter and Alma Ruch (nee Tweedy).
Gary was a real handyman who could fix anything. He worked many years at Welmet Industries before retiring in 2007 from Maple Leaf Mills (ADM), where he worked as a Millwright.
Gary enjoyed golfing with his regular foursome, fishing, trips to the casino with Ann, morning coffee with his buddies as well as spending as much time as he could with his grandsons who were the love of his life.
Special thanks to the doctors and nurses of the 6th floor at the Welland County General Hospital.
