Obituary of (Lorna) June Farbiak

FARBIAK- (Lorna) June passed away peacefully to meet her Lord and Saviour at Maple Park Lodge in Fort Erie on Sunday, February 10, 2019 at the age of 83.  Beloved wife of John for over 66 years.  She was predeceased by her parents Carl W. and Nellie Shore, her sisters Donna Walsh and Patricia Silverman.  She is survived by her brother Carl Anderson (Andy) Shore in Victoria, B.C., her four daughters Cathy Farbiak (the late Bob Frier), Carol Stipancic (Joe), Marilyn Fleming (Lindsay) and Sandra Elliott (David), her six grandchildren, Wesley Fleming (Jennifer), Noah Fleming (Heather), Holly Barimah (Derick), Joshua Stipancic (Amber), Kaila Stipancic, Adam Morin and her seven great grandchildren.  In her younger years, she was involved in many things at the Port Colborne Baptist Church. She became one of the first kindergarten teacher’s assistant for several years in different schools. June’s favourite bible verse was Jeremiah, chapter 29, verse 11, and her favourite hymns are, I Stand Amazed and Because He Lives. We want to thank the staff at Maple Park Lodge for their exceptional kind care for looking after June.  The Farbiak family will receive visitors at the DAVIDSON FUNERAL HOME, 135 Clarence Street, Port Colborne on Tuesday, February  12, 2019 from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. and at the Port Colborne Baptist Church on Wednesday, February 13, 2019 from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service at 11:00 a.m.  Cremation will follow with interment at Oakwood Cemetery at a later date.  In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Port Colborne Baptist Church or the Alzheimer Society.
